FAST food giant KFC Malaysia has collaborated with Pestle & Mortar Clothing (PMC) to release a fashion collection called 11 Finger Lickin’ Goods Goods. It has 11 pieces, just like how the brand’s secret recipe uses 11 herbs and spices.

“Malaysia has been KFC’s home for more than 46 years and we wanted to do something out of the ordinary to celebrate Malaysia, Malaysians and KFC’s heritage in Malaysia,” says Angelina Villanueva, KFC Malaysia’s chief marketing officer.

PMC interpreted KFC Malaysia’s origins using art and local lingo for a unique streetwear twist. The men’s collection includes graphic T-shirts and hoodies as well as accesories such as a bucket hat and tote bag.

“More than just a design, each garment tells a story of what KFC means to every Malaysian,” says Hugh Koh, PMC co-founder and creative director. This includes tops depicting well-known KFC restaurants and a reimagining of brand icon Colonel Sanders into Atuk Sanders, who wears a sarong while carrying a bucket of chicken.

One hoodie is embellished with the brand’s recognisable red and white stripes while another has the slogan Finger Lickin’ Good printed in three languages.

Other items include the Dinner Plate Pin collection with moulded enamel pins of a fried drumstick, Cheezy Wedges and the KFC Bucket, while the totebag is illustrated with the KFC pressure cooker.

The limited edition collection can be purchased at Major Drop, Sunway Pyramid and online at pestlemortarclothing.com.
