FORMULATED to address the visible and invisible physical sensations associated with sensitive skin and skin prone to sensitivities, Aesop launches its new Seeking Silence Facial Hydrator (RM200 for 60ml).

The formulation utilises two ingredients new to Aesop - a green microalgae rich in anti-oxidants called Dunaliella Salina extract and an extract from dormant bulbs of daffodils, Narcissus Tazetta bulb Extract, which work to soothe skin irritation and reduce redness.

Ginger root extract and bisabolol complement the blend, bringing a sense of calm and comfort to sensitive skin.

“Our scientific understanding of the unique needs of sensitive skin has deepened in recent years,” says Aesop’s general manager, of innovation and R&D, Dr Kate Forbes.

“We now recognise the need to address the uncomfortable sensations associated with skin reactivity, which can manifest with visible signs such as skin redness or flaking, and non-visible characteristics such as itching or burning.

“Seeking Silence Facial Hydrator contains an efficacious combination of ingredients working in tandem to calm the skin, reduce the appearance of redness, and support barrier function, to reduce the likelihood of skin reactivity,” Forbes says. “The hydrator has a light yet nourishing base to bring soothing comfort to aggravated skin and restore its equilibrium.”

The lotion also contains humectant saccharide isomerate and squalane, which help to prevent flakiness and skin dryness.

It also support the maintenance of skin barrier integrity while delivering nourishment and hydration to the skin.
