Messy ink-refill a thing of the past
IF I can only use one word to describe the Canon Pixma GM2070 printer, it would be “fast”.
The printer has an ISO of printing speed of 13 IPM (or image per minute) for a black and white copy. Based on my test, it completes the job with two seconds to spare.
The International Organisation for Standardisation defines two standards for printing speed — IPM and pages per minute (PPM). The ISO standard print speed for an A4 paper is up to 13.0 IPM for monochrome prints.
The printer comes with Canon’s innovation of refillable ink tank and is made for high volume monochrome printing at a low running cost.
This wireless printer can be converted for colour printing as well.
SPILL-RESISTANT BOTTLE DESIGN
Another interesting feature of the printer is the ink bottle.
I find it amazing that there was not a single drop of ink on my hand after replacing the toner.
The bottle comes with a unique tip-andreceptacle design where ink filling stops automatically when the air hatch of the tank touches the fluid level.
AFFORDABLE
Retailing at RM778, the printer has a super high page yield — each ink bottle can print up to 8,300 pages.
It is great for the Small Office-Home Office (Soho) and multi-functional usage. At such a high yield, it will be quite some time before I have to worry about getting ink replacement for the printer.
CLOUD PRINTING
The printer is smart, thanks to the Canon Print Inkjet app. It can be connected to the WiFi for easy printing from a smartphone, mobile tablet or laptop, without having to connect it to the PC, thanks to the app. The SELPHY app works too.
All in all, if you’re looking for a printer that is suitable for Soho-type printing capability, this printer is it.
It is fast and affordable too. The only downside is that it may take up a little extra space on your desk.
