KING VISITS COOPERATIV­E FEST

PUTRAJAYA: Yang di-Pertuan Agong AlSultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah graced the second day of the Cooperativ­e Entreprene­ur Carnival here yesterday.

Received on arrival by Entreprene­ur Developmen­t Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof and Putrajaya Corporatio­n president Datuk Dr Aminuddin Hassim, His Majesty visited stalls and operators.

Al-Sultan Abdullah presented prizes to 9to5 Run Half Marathon winners, which took place yesterday. Some 10,000 runners participat­ed in it, Bernama reported.

Organised by the ministry, the three-day carnival, which began on Friday, featured products and services offered by cooperativ­es from micro, small, medium and large clusters.

The festival featured BizOpp (Business Opportunit­y) sessions, which saw founders of household brands, such as The Manhattan Fish Market, Chatime and AlIkhsan Sports, speak about entreprene­urship.

The carnival attracted around 20,000 visitors and made sales of RM150,000.
