Bina Darulaman unit launches mixed-use developmen­t in Kedah

Bina Darulaman Bhd’s (BDB) wholly-owned unit, Kedah Holdings Sdn Bhd, has launched a new developmen­t project in Serdang, Bandar Baru, Kedah, with a gross developmen­t value (GDV) of RM33 million.

Its head of property and leisure division Tunku Fauzi Tunku Abdul Malek said the project, Aman Perdana, is a joint venture with Bandar Baru District Council and will be developed into a mixed-use developmen­t of 143 units of houses.

“Bandar Baru District in general or Serdang in particular have the potential to be developed and thus BDB will continue to work with the state government in efforts to develop the district,” he said.

He said the project is the first one in Serdang in the last 10 years and constructi­on would commence early next year with completion expected within two years.

Tunku Fauzi said the project comprises shop offices, singlestor­ey bungalows, two-storey terrace, single-storey semi-D and single-storey terrace houses as well as Makmur Kedah, Aman Kedah and Kasih Rakyat houses.

“The sale price ranges from RM140,000 to RM483,000 for bungalows, one- and two-storey terrace and single-storey semi-D houses, and RM570,000 to RM882,000 for two-storey shop offices.

“In addition, the prices for Makmur Kedah houses range from RM150,000 to RM170,000, Aman Kedah homes range from RM90,000 to RM100,000, while the Kasih Rakyat house prices are between RM35,000 and RM65,000.” He said the project showed BDB’s commitment to offer modern homes at affordable prices, with 82 per cent at RM300,000 and below.

He said BDB also provided opportunit­ies for traders in the area by offering two-storey shop offices that could boost growth in Serdang.

The project is the first one in Serdang in the last 10 years and constructi­on will commence early next year.
