-

KUALA LUMPUR: Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Almarhum Sultan Iskandar presented Harimau Malaya and a Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) Football Club jerseys to Federal Territory Mufti Datuk Seri Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri on Thursday.

Zulkifli uploaded a picture and video to his Twitter account showing him receiving the jerseys printed with his name and the number 11.

The number 11 Harimau Malaya jersey had been worn by Harimau Malaya striker Safawi Rasid, while the JDT jersey had been worn by Argentine-Iraqi footballer Gonzalo Cabrera.

While recording the programme Coffee

with Mufti at @TVAlhijrah114, a representative from Istana Negara arrived and handed over several packages to him.

“According to the man (palace representative), the items were presented by the queen. What could they be? I am touched by the generosity of Tunku (Azizah),” he said on Twitter.

Zulkifli also uploaded a video showing him wearing the jersey while thanking Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Tunku Azizah for the gifts.

Zulkifli said he was thankful to the king and queen for the presents.

About a month ago, Zulkifli uploaded a picture on Twitter of a Liverpool football jersey he received from a couple who had brought their child to him to be blessed.

The post caught the eye of Tunku Azizah, who replied to the message with a promise to present Zulkifli with the jerseys of his favourite teams.
