‘The Perfect Wedding’ is Petronas’ biggest ‘anugerah’

-

KUALA LUMPUR: Perfection is not when everything is beautiful and plain sailing.

It is when love, unity and togetherness become one.

This is the message of The Perfect Wedding, Petronas’ last webfilm of the year, which features casts from six previous Petronas webfilms — Heart (Chinese New Year), Kinoulian (Ka’amatan), Baju Burung Apai (Gawai), Rendang SoRaya (Hari Raya Aidilfitri), UNI (National and Malaysia Day) and Thanggam (Deepavali).

The four-minute- and 30-second short movie celebrates love, unity and appreciation among family and friends, reflecting the togetherness of Malaysians.

The setting is a multiracial wedding and everything goes well until a storm strikes.

It catches everyone off guard and chaos ensues, threatening to spoil the auspicious occasion.

But the families and guests display strong tenacity and a spirit of togetherness to eventually make it the perfect wedding.

Petronas senior general manager of group strategic communications Zahariah Abdul Rahman said the movie showed how a thick bond could be formed despite differences.

“As a responsible organisation, we wish to remind people that blessings are aplenty and to be grateful for the ‘anugerah’ or blessings that we receive, in the form of love and appreciation from family and friends.”

The final webfilm, she said, was a reflection of Malaysians.

“We hope that through this webfilm and the rest of the Anugerah Kita Webfilms ,we are able to share our love story for Malaysia, as well as celebrate our biggest ‘anugerah’ yet.”

The Perfect Wedding was launched here on Friday. Present was Petronas group media and strategic communications head Joseph Edwin.

The webfilm is available for viewing on Petronas YouTube channel and Facebook page.

Its 60-second commercial version started airing on television and in selected cinemas for two week since Thursday.
