Free entry for i-City’s theme park on Sunday

-

SHAH ALAM: Selangor’s Golden Triangle is gaining new grounds with exciting events lined up this year by stakeholders and corporates in conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2020.

I-Berhad is taking its multi-million ringgit i-City theme park in Selangor to another level by offering all-day free entry this Sunday in conjunction with the inaugural Selangor Golden Triangle open day.

The open day is part of the developer’s initiative to share the Golden Triangle status, as acknowledged by the Menteri Besar of Selangor last year, with the community, said I-Berhad information manager Tang Soke Cheng.

She said this was the first time i-City was opening up the theme park free to all Malaysians to enjoy unlimited rides and attractions for a day using the “Selangor’s Golden Triangle Pass”.

Tang said the free pass is available online or at the ticket counters in the i-City theme park.

Entries to all i-City theme park rides and attractions on Sunday are only valid via an e-pass preload in the i- City mobile app.

“This is in line with the nation’s initiative to develop Digital Malaysia, where visitors to the iCity theme park will be able to enjoy seamless and hassle-free experience by scanning their QR codes for rides and attractions,” said Tang.

i-City’s partner, Touch ‘n Go Digital, will extend the reach of the government’s latest initiative, the e-Tunai Rakyat, where eligible Malaysians will receive RM30 in their eWallet accounts on the day and enjoy cashless transactions.

“As a tourism destination in Selangor, this is our contribution to society,” she said.

i-City expects about 30,000 visitors this Sunday.
