Malaysian, Bollywood actresses cross paths on Twitter

Amani, 34, is best known for appearing in the late director Yasmin Ahmad’s films

Sepet, Gubra, Mukhsin and Muallaf. She

has also starred in Gol & Gincu, Gol & Gincu Volume 2, Cinta, 1957: Hati Malaya, Cicakman 2 - Planet Hitam, and Motif. Kajol, 45, made her film debut in Bekhudi (1992). Her other best known films include Baazigar (1993), Yeh Dillagi (1994), Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), and My Name Is Khan (2010).

OPULAR actress Sharifah Amani is delighted to have finally communicat­ed with one of her Bollywood idols, Kajol.

Last Sunday, the star of Sepet and Gubra asked Kajol via Twitter about her all-time favourite screen role, and received a prompt answer from the iconic Indian actress of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi

Khushi Kabhie Gham fame.

“What was your most favourite character you’ve played in your film career, Kajol?” asked Amani.

“My most favourite character is Anjali. She is the most like me,” replied Kajol.

Amani’s tweet had more than 9,000 likes and 5,000 retweets.

Kajol has played two characters named Anjali, first in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and second in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
