Cops to probe Nada’s claim of drug abuse by students
JOHOR BARU: Johor police will investigate claims by the National AntiDrug Agency (Nada) that there are 177 Form Four and Five students abusing drugs in the state. Johor police chief Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said police investigation geared more towards tracking down people selling drugs to students. “I will check with Nada because if these students are drug users, we want to know where their supply is coming from. “Nada’s focus is on rehabilitation and counselling. We want to know how the drug network works and the extent of its penetration in schools,” he said. Last Saturday, Nada revealed that since the beginning of the year, 177 students in the state had tested positive for drugs.
