FORD LAUNCHES FACELIFT RANGER XLT PLUS
KUALA LUMPUR: Priced at RM129,888 (on-theroad, without insurance, for Peninsular Malaysia), the new facelifted Ford Ranger XLT Plus comes with updated features similar to the Ranger WildTrak and Raptor.
It has new high-performance BiLED headlamps that deliver 17 per cent greater lighting penetration, new body-coloured bumper design finished with a silver bumper lip replicating the front exterior of the Ranger WildTrak, and a new exclusive chrome grille. There are also keyless entry with push-start button, and the firstin-class Easy Lift Tailgate.
The pickup features a 2.0L SingleTurbo engine that is mated to a first and only in-class 10-speed automatic transmission capable of delivering 180PS of power and 420Nm of torque.
The interior features an eight-inch touchscreen display, a SYNC multimedia system with reversing camera, an electronic shift-on-the-fly 4x4 rainsensing wipers, the Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS), and daytime running lights and headlights.
In the safety area, it comes with two airbags, Limited Slip Differential, Hill Descent Control, Hill Launch Assist, Antilock Braking System (ABS) with Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) and Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), ISOFIX child seat mounts, Electronic Stability Control with Traction Control, Rollover Mitigation, Trailer Sway Control, Adaptive Load Control and Ford MyKey.
The Ford Ranger XLT Plus comes in five colour options - Aluminium Metallic, Arctic White, Lightning Blue, Meteor Grey and Absolute Black. As with the entire Ranger line-up, it comes with a full manufacturer’s warranty of three years or up to 100,000km, whichever comes first.
Coinciding with the Ford Ranger XLT Plus’ facelift announcement, Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), the sole distributor for Ford in Malaysia, is also holding a new promotion offering free vehicle services and cash rebate options for selected Ranger vehicles from now until Dec 31 (terms and conditions apply).
Customers who purchase selected Ford Ranger Raptor, WildTrak and XLT Plus variants will have the option of four free vehicle service sessions - equivalent to a two-year free maintenance or up to 40,000km, whichever comes first, or a RM2,000 cash rebate.
A cash rebate of up to RM7,000 is also available to customers for selected Ranger XL and XLT variants.
