GOF finds vape liquid stash worth RM422,000

RANTAU PANJANG: The General Operations Force (GOF) seized 2,850 bottles of vape liquid worth about RM422,000 in Kampung Kubang Rambutan here on Saturday night. A GOF team on patrol as part of Op Benteng spotted several boxes abandoned near some bushes about 7pm. GOF Eighth Battalion commanding officer Superintendent Mohamad Shamsuddin said upon checking, they found 2,850 30ml and 60m bottles of vape liquid. He said they believed the contraband was meant to be smuggled across the border into Thailand via Sungai Golok. “We suspect that local smugglers had placed the boxes there for several hours before they were discovered. The smugglers obtained the items from local suppliers before distributing it to buyers in the neighbouring country.”
