Jamaludin now with QSR Brands
KUALA LUMPUR: QSR Brands (M) Holdings Bhd, a fully integrated food operator in Malaysia, has appointed Tan Sri Jamaludin Ibrahim as chairman effective today.
Jamaludin retired as president and group chief executive officer of Axiata Group Bhd on Dec 31.
QSR Brands is the franchise owner of KFC restaurants in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei and Cambodia, as well as Pizza Hut restaurants in Malaysia and Singapore.
QSR Brands said with over 40 years of experience, Jamaludin’s wealth of knowledge included about 16 years in information technology and 23 years in telecommunications sectors.
Jamaludin is a member of the Economic Action Council and Digital Economy and Fourth Industrial Revolution Council.
QSR Brands said over the years, Jamaludin has earned numerous awards and accolades for his contributions and achievements.
Among others, he was awarded the “Telecommunications CEO of the Year” in the Telecom Asia Awards in 2010.
In 2015, Jamaludin was conferred the GSM Association Chairman’s Award for his outstanding personal contribution to the growth and development of mobile communications around the world.
Jamaludin said: “I look forward to partnering with managing director Nehchal Khanna, the board and the team at QSR Brands to further transform and solidify our position as the leading food chain brand.”
