MUV TIES UP WITH LIM TAYAR

- NICHOLAS KING

MUV, Malaysia’s largest “Marketplace for Used Vehicles”, is actively establishing tie-ups, with its latest partner, Lim Tayar (of CKL Group), set to provide free inspection service for those seeking to sell their cars.

“This is an exciting space to be part of and we are confident that with the support from our dealers nationwide, we will be able to ensure the success of this partnership,” said CKL Group joint managing director Clement Lim.

The free inspection will be carried out by trained and experienced technicians at five Lim Tayar outlets in the Klang Valley.

Vehicles that have undergone the inspection will receive muv’s verified badge on the bidding platform, which will also provide detailed reports on its conditions.

The muv platform facilitates the entire sale-and-purchase process such as financing, vehicle inspection and registration.

The seller merely needs to price his vehicle based on the valuation and inspection reports issued after the inspection at Lim Tayar. Once the bidding process is completed, the seller will need to confirm the bid and surrender the vehicle at the nearest muv hub.

The customer will receive the payment in two to three days upon confirmation from the buyer.

muv chief executive officer Andy Teh said the partnership with Lim Tayar would help make the process of buying and selling cars more seamless and convenient.

Tan Chong Ekspres Auto Servis (TCEAS) will provide consumers with two free after-sales service packages at 51 TCEAS service centres.

He added that more Lim Tayar outlets nationwide would feature the service by year end.

“We are excited to continue to grow our network nationwide this year by establishing more muv outlets and partner locations so that we can continue to facilitate and provide a platform for Malaysians in buying and selling their cars quickly.

“With Lim Tayar, we hope to continue to push the boundaries of how muv is revolutionising the way consumers buy and sell their cars,” Teh added.

Earlier this month, muv partnered Shell and Tan Chong Ekspres Auto Servis (TCEAS) to provide customers with two free after-sales service packages at 51 TCEAS service centres.

Each service package covers one Shell synthetic lubrication service that features Shell’s flagship Shell Helix HX8 5W-30 SN+ (four litres only) engine oil, oil filter, oil pan washer and windshield washer, as well as a free multipoint car inspection.

Lim Tayar will provide free inspection service for those wanting to sell their cars.

Service appointments need to be made at least three days in advance through TCEAS’ Customer Careline or at a TCEAS service centre.

As a limited time bonus and on a “while stocks last” basis, Shell will also be giving away a Bluetooth remote control racing car worth RM250 to each customer.

“With this strong partnership, we are creating a business synergy with authentic integrity. Customers can also be rest assured that their service needs are well taken care of with a sixmonth or 10,000km service warranty,” said TCEAS executive vice-president Michael Yao.

Teh said muv would continue to innovate its processes to enhance value for all customers.

“We continually look to revolutionise the way used cars are sold. In the past, it had always been ‘buy-and-sort-itout-yourself’ for used cars. We want to give customers a better experience,” he added.
