SPECIAL DEALS AT MY21 OPEN HOUSE

FANS of Harley-Davidson may want to check out the promotions being offered during the nationwide Model Year 2021 (MY21) Open House, which ends today. The MY21 lineup of motorcycle­s first unveiled during a global virtual launch in January are now available, with prices starting from as low as RM68,900 for the iconic Sportster Iron 883.

Highlights include the Street Bob 114 and restyled Fat Boy 114 cruisers, and new styling options for three popular performanc­e baggers: Street Glide Special, Road Glide Special and Road King Special models.

Harley-Davidson will also offer four super-premium models created by its Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) team.

With a starting price of RM101,900, the Street Bob 114 (part of the lightweigh­t Softail cruiser line) is equipped with a Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine and loaded with aesthetic attitude, including the mini-ape handlebar andchopped­rearfender.

The Fat Boy 114, priced from RM122,900, has its satin chrome finish on the powertrain and exhaust, the front end, the rear fender struts and the console replaced with brilliant chrome.

The 2021 Harley-Davidson Touring motorcycle line, a trio of all-new hot rod baggers, have a similar starting price of RM129,900, and they come with the long-haul capabiliti­es of the HarleyDavi­dson Touring chassis powered by a Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine.

The Street Glide Special and Road Glide Special have new two-tone paint options as well as a choice of a blackedout or bright chrome styling treatment — a choice of dark and sinister or brilliant and more traditiona­l.

The Road King Special and Street Glide Special are equipped with a new Daymaker LED headlamp, and all three Special models feature a new low-profile engine guard.

All touring models are equipped with the colour touch-screen Boom! Box GTS infotainme­nt system that now features Android Auto and Apple CarPlay applicatio­n compatibil­ity and is accessible through wired connection to a compatible­smartphone­orapp.

Meanwhile, each of the four 2021 CVO models — CVO Street Glide, CVO Road Glide, CVO Limited and CVO Tri Glide — feature new paint options and styling features.

The Milwaukee-Eight 117 V-Twin engine is exclusive to CVO models and the most-powerful one offered as original equipment from the Harley-Davidson factory.

All CVO models are equipped with RDRS Safety Enhancemen­ts, including cornering enhanced electronic linked braking, cornering enhanced anti-lock braking system, cornering enhanced traction control system, drag-torque slip control system, vehicle hold control and tyre pressure monitoring system.

The CVO Street Glide and Road Glide models debut with the new Rockford Fosgate advanced audio system, featuring speakers and amplifiers designed specifical­ly for Harley-Davidson motorcycle­s.
