New Jubin BMS showroom offers better shopping experience

-

JOHOR BARU: The onset of the Covid-19 pandemic last year did not deter Jubin BMS (1990) Sdn Bhd from proceeding with its showroom expansion plan.

Managing director Ang Kwee Peng said the company had planned for the expansion in 2019 with the target of completing the showroom, which is part of the BMS Complex, by the middle of last year.

“Obviously the plan hit a snag when the pandemic hit. Instead of postponing the plan, we decided to proceed because we want to offer a better shopping experience to our customers,” said Ang.

One of the challenges that the company faced during the project is the manpower issue due to the imposition of the Movement Control Order.

“We were lucky to overcome this problem because we had a very good team. Everybody worked very hard to make sure that the project was completed.

“We had planned for the project to take about eight months to be completed, but in the end it took about a year for everything to be completed,” said Ang, adding that the company invested about RM10 million in the project.

The company’s hard work and investment paid off when the Malaysian Book of Records recognised BMS Complex, with the addition of the expanded showroom, as the largest tiles and sanitary ware showroom in Malaysia.

Ang said the new showroom allowed the company to showcase more products and new content to its customers.

“This is in line with our aim of making our customers’ dream home come true.”

He said shopping habits of the public had also changed over the years.

“People are now spending more time at home so they expect to see and enjoy better finishings for their homes. Previously, they had depended on contractors or interior designers to show them the choice of finishings that they could pick for their homes.

“Nowadays, people want to see and feel the materials that they can use for their homes as they are influenced by something they saw on the Internet or social media,” said Ang.

The new showroom, he said, enabled the company to display its products in a way that would help its customers visualise how the products would look in their homes.

“We have also embraced technology by offering a virtual reality design system that would enable the customers to see how their homes would look like with the products they choose.”

He said there was also a multifunction hall and discussion space available at the new showroom.

“This would enable us to conduct workshops where we can show contractors how to properly install the products we sell, especially premium products like natural granite and marble.”

Jubin BMS offers a wide range of products that fits every budget, from premium and high-end products like natural granite and marble that are imported from all over the world to affordable house brand tiles.

“We hope to attract more customers to the new showroom due to its prime location near the Pasir Gudang Highway. We want to be the one-stop centre for tiles and sanitary ware,” said Ang.
