Terengganu to continue with squid jigging event

-

Squid jigging, a popular activity which has become an annual event in Terengganu, will continue this year, but it will be held in compliance with standard operating procedures to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Terengganu Tourism, Culture and Digital Technology Committee chairman Ariffin Deraman said several programmes would be held to promote the event after the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration. “Our main focus is to choose the appropriate method so that permission for interstate travel can be given to squid jigging enthusiasts from outside Terengganu, especially those who have received both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine or confirmed without the virus, during screening prior to coming to the state.”
