Harumanis selling like hot cakes on online platforms

-

The ban on interstate travel due to the Covid-19 outbreak has not affected sales of Harumanis mangoes; they are selling like hot cakes on online platforms. Perlis Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (Fama) director Mohamad Paisal Amri said to date, the agency had sold 20 tonnes of Harumanis nationwide. “The demand for Harumanis this year is much better,” he said on Sunday. He said Fama would continue to assist entrepreneurs in selling their mangoes online as this was the best option during the pandemic. Trader Aziz Itam, 61, said online sales of Harumanis this year had been very encouraging. “The courier companies have provided excellent service and I have received positive feedback from my customers.”
