OCR ramps up PRIYA Kuantan project

-

KUALA LUMPUR: Property developer OCR Group Bhd remains steadfast in delivering the first phase of Kuantan’s largest affordable housing scheme —PRIYA Kuantan — by next year.

OCR said it had ramped up its construction activities through site planning optimisation and the appointment of more contractors to ensure smooth delivery of development.

Managing director Billy Ong Kah Hoe said PRIYA Kuantan, the company’s first development of a mass scale affordable housing project in the city, had received an encouraging reception with over 90 per cent of the units taken up as at end-March.

“In response to the robust demand, we accelerated the construction progress for PRIYA Kuantan and are committed to hand over the units in early 2022. As at March 31,we completed over 40 per cent of the development despite hurdles encountered last year,” he said.

Ong said OCR had designated a segment in its products to provide “essential living” homes for the masses.

“We are in talks to roll out more essential homes in Selangor and Pahang.”
