Athletic and learning tools for children

-

AmMetLife Insurance Bhd and MetLife employees recently assembled athletic and learning tools into backpacks for young athletes from underserved families.

In collaboration with the Special Olympics Young Athletes, the backpacks, funded by MetLife Foundation, have been distributed all over the country.

The Special Olympics Young Athletes is an inclusive sports and play programme for children aged 2 to 7 with or without intellectual disabilities.

This programme helps children develop critical cognitive, motor and social skills, which in turn prepare them to compete in various sports tournaments when they are older.

“As a company, our focus is on helping people build a more confident future and we are happy to support the Special Olympics Young Athletes, via MetLife Foundation, in its mission to create a more inclusive world through the power of sports,” said AmMetLife chief executive officer Lee Jiau Jiunn.
