HTAR returns on-loan oxygen concentrators

KLANG: Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR) has returned 80 oxygen concentrator machines following a decline in Covid-19 patients admitted to the medical facility.

The on-loan machines were returned to the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park (MAEPS) Covid-19 Quarantine and Low-Risk Treatment Centre (PKRC) Integrated 2.0 in Serdang.

HTAR in a Facebook post said it returned all the machines following a decline in the number of Covid-19 patient admissions to the hospital.

“We would like to thank MAEPS PKRC 2.0, especially to the director, Dr Shahabuddin Ibrahim, for lending 80 units of oxygen concentrator machines

to HTAR during the ‘disaster ’ period.

“The logistic division of the armed forces has received the machines and will arrange for their use in states that experience a sharp increase in Covid-19 patient admissions.

“We greatly appreciate all the contributions and support given to HTAR.”

On Tuesday, HTAR director Dr Zulkarnain Mohd Rawi said there was a decline of more than 50 per cent in daily admission of Covid-19 patients since last week.
