3m python caught after devouring 2 cats at KK home

AMORE than 3m-long reticulate­d python was caught at a house in Taman Melawa Jaya here yesterday after it devoured two cats. Lintas Fire and Rescue Department chief Agustavia Joe Guasi said a team was sent after receiving a call at 8.48am.

“When the team arrived, it discovered the python in a cage that housed three cats. The python is believed to have swallowed two of them, and the third cat was found dead in the cage,” she said.

Agustavia said the team captured the snake and inspected the area to make sure there were no other threats before ending the operation at 9.08am.
