10 Kedah shop break-in cases solved with arrest of 4

JITRA: Police have crippled the ‘Man Muncung’ gang following the arrests of four men, including a student, here and in Alor Star on Thursday. Kubang Pasu police chief Superinten­dent Rodzi Abu Hassan said police arrested all the suspects, aged between 14 and 33, in Taman Pulasan here and in front of Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Star between 8.45pm and 10.30pm. “Police arrested them less than 24 hours after they allegedly broke into a grocery store in Pekan Ayer Hitam near here at 2am before fleeing with RM4,250 in cash and other items. The store owner discovered the robbery at 8am and lodged a report,” he said. Rodzi added that police believed 10 cases of shop break-ins in the district had been successful­ly solved with the arrests.
