6 more at Maktab Mahmud Sik down with Covid-19

ALOR STAR: Six more students of Maktab Mahmud Sik tested positive for Covid-19, bringing the total number of infected students at the college to 30 up to Sunday under the Dah Pelangi Cluster. Kedah Health and Local Government Committee chairman Datuk Dr Mohd Hayati Othman said the new cases were discovered after 44 people from the college underwent the Covid-19 screening. “From the screening, 14 were reported negative. One positive student was treated at the Kulim Quarantine and Low Risk Treatment Centre, while another was treated the Sik Hospital, but was allowed to leave last Friday,” he said. The cluster involved male dormitory students who were detected after some of them were found to show symptoms on Nov 28.
