AFFIN BANK LAUNCHES DUAL CREDIT CARD PRODUCT

It offers cash back privilege of 3pc for each contactles­s transactio­n, says lender

AFFIN Bank Bhd has launched its latest dual credit card product, Affin Duo+. “The bank has issued 60,000 Affin Duo credit cards and we look forward to acquiring a potential 30,000 cards for Affin Duo+ in the first year of its launch,” said president and chief executive officer Datuk Wan Razly Abdullah Wan Ali during the product launch yesterday.

The Affin Duo+ product consists of the Affin Duo+ Visa and Affin Duo+ Mastercard credit cards that are issued jointly.

“Customers can benefit from the cash back privilege at a rate of three per cent for every contactles­s transactio­n and be able to earn three times Affin Rewards points for purchases of hotel bookings and airline tickets, purchases at duty-free shops and overseas merchants, as well as on online and e-commerce transactio­ns,”

Visa Malaysia country manager Ng Kong Boon said contactles­s payment was here to stay.

“We are delighted to see that cardholder­s are being rewarded when they ‘tap to pay’ with Visa cards.”

Mastercard Malaysia and Brunei country manager Perry Ong said it was proud to continue supporting Affin Bank in bringing Affin Duo+ to the market to address the security, flexibilit­y, convenienc­e and lifestyle needs of the mass affluent segment.

Ong said the propositio­n showcased Affin Bank’s commitment to innovation that could add to consumers’ highly digital lives

Affin Bank said in line with the introducti­on of Affin Duo+, card members could participat­e in the “Apply and Win” campaign that ends on Feb 28 next year.

“By making a minimum retail spend of RM100 within 45 days from card approval date, card members will stand a chance to score one of 10 exclusive watches by the Swiss Watch Gallery.”
