EXPERIENCE SNOWFALL ESTONIAN CHRISTMAS FESTIVITIES

- SUNGEI

Wang Plaza is back with a blast as it is gearing up for a “Villa de Gold” Christmas celebration this year with authentic Estonian Christmas decorations, festive activities, workshops and an array of shopping deals from now to Jan 2 in collaboration with the Honorary Consulate of Estonia in Malaysia and Shopee.

Themed ‘Villa de Gold’, it features an Estonian Christmas town at the Main Entrance featuring a spectacular 20-foot golden Christmas tree with an array of dangling twinkling fairy lights, lighted gold snowflakes and stars to welcome shoppers with sparkling brilliance.

Walking into the centre court with a snowy Estonian Christmas house surrounded by polar bears, snow mountains, candles and poinsettia, the mall is sure to bring shoppers a feeling similar to their homes being transformed into a place of warmth and a joyous spirit of the Christmas season.

The launch was officiated by Col Datuk Harbans Singh, Honorary Consul of Estonia in Malaysia, accompanied by Carter Lim, Treasurer of Sungei Wang Plaza Management Corporation, Yuen May Chee, Property Manager / Director of Knight Frank Malaysia and Joseph Teo, Centre Manager of Sungei Wang Plaza.

“The Christmas season is one the most important times of year in Estonia, dating back to ancient pagan celebrations that took place around the winter solstice. We are glad to partner with Sungei Wang Plaza for the very first time to have a chance to advocate the beauty of Estonia through a unique Christmas experience at Sungei Wang Plaza,” says Harbans.

In conjunction with this festive season, Sungei Wang Plaza hosted a group of underprivileged children from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak Yatim Mary where they enjoyed a Christmas celebration outing including a Christmas creative workshop, a tour at MinNature Malaysia as well as Christmas gifts presentation by Teo.

“It is our great pleasure to host this year’s Christmas Celebration together with the Honorary Consulate of Estonia in Malaysia and Shopee and celebrate the Christmas spirit with the underprivileged children. We hope to bring in the Christmas cheer to delight everyone through the season’s ambiance after experiencing a long period of economic downturn,” says Teo.

Meanwhile, Kenneth Soh, Senior Manager (Marketing) at Shopee Malaysia said: “We are happy to be partnering with Sungei Wang Plaza to further add to the festivities by bringing our beloved, and a crowd favourite, Shopee Claw game to life. With its many attractive prizes up for grabs, we hope the Shopee Claw game can provide some well-needed festive cheer this year-end season, coinciding with our 12.12 Birthday Sale shopping festival. Here’s wishing Sungei Wang Plaza and everyone a wonderful Christmas celebration and Happy Holidays.”
