‘You are a toxic and narcissistic husband’ — Puteri Sarah

THE online tussle between Syamsul Yusof and his first wife Puteri Sarah Liyana continues with the 37-yearold actress calling for the Mat Kilau: Kebangkitan Pahlawan's director to end their nine-year marriage.

In a post on her Instagram account on Tuesday, Puteri Sarah also called her 38-year-old spouse “a toxic and narcissistic husband”.

“To Mohd Shamsul, because you still blocked me until now and still haven’t discussed (our marital issues), I ask you to let me go because you have failed in your responsibility as the head of this family plus you are a toxic and narcissistic husband,” she said.

Puteri Sarah added: “My kids and I are done with four years of being mentally tortured. We deserve better.”

The post has since garnered over 394,000 likes and more than 15,500 comments from friends, fans and fellow artistes offering supportive comments.

On Jan 6, Syamsul took to Instagram to officially announce that he had tied the knot with 27-year-old Ira Kazar in Thailand.

Following Puteri Sarah’s post, Syamsul also took to Instagram to clear the air via a lengthy video clip.

“If you want to be let go or to be together, we can discuss this at home.

“It’s better to stop airing our dirty laundry on social media. We’re just giving netizens the opportunity to judge us,” he said.

On being accused of blocking Puteri Sarah on his phone, Syamsul responded that it was done to avoid conflict between them.

He claimed that his first wife had scolded and cursed him on the phone and on WhatsApp.

“How are we to communicate this way? This was getting harmful so I decided to block her since I did not want our relationship to sour even more.

“For those out there who don’t know the real story, don’t pass judgement. You have only heard one side of the story.

“I have kept quiet and accepted it but the situation has since become even worse.

“I have invited her to discuss on this. This can be seen from all the videos I’ve uploaded previously. We can discuss this at home and not involve other people,” he said.

Syamsul and Puteri Sarah married in 2014 and they are blessed with two children, Syaikhul Islam, 6, and Summayyah, 4.
