China’s Aux enters Malaysian market after Aufit tie-up
KUALA LUMPUR: Aux Group, one of China’s top 500 enterprises, has entered the Malaysian consumer electronics market through a collaboration with a local partner.
Aux Asean sales manager Rando Wu said the company and its partner, Aufit Malaysia, was confident that they would experience growth.
“One area we will focus on is the air conditioner segment as we have witnessed that improvement in housing standards are fuelling greater demand for consumer air conditioners,” he said in a statement yesterday.
The global air conditioner market is projected to register a compound annual growth rate of more than five per cent between 2021 and 2026, with Asia Pacific being the fastest growing and largest market.
Aux said the industry was expected to witness a huge growth due to soaring temperatures and humidity across the world, along with the rising acceptance of the air conditioner as a utility rather than luxury product.
“The emergence of technologically advanced air conditioners, such as air conditioners with inverter and air purification technologies, is further anticipated to positively influence the air conditioner market,” it added.
Aufit managing director Alan Yap said the company had invested RM10 million and set up eight centres in Puchong, Johor Baru, Butterworth, Kuantan, Kota Baru, Melaka, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching.
“We will continue to equip these centres. We have an experienced team of technicians who are supported by certified third-party installers and maintenance specialists,” he added.
Drawing from a unique combination of Japanese research and development technology and Chinese manufacturing expertise, the Aufit brand is Aux’s addition to its growing portfolio of residential air conditioners.
Aux Group was established in 1986. Today, its business activities span several sectors such as home appliances, electrical equipment, medical equipment and services, real estate and investment.
The group’s turnover stood at 72 billion yuan last year.
Its air conditioner is the third most popular in China.
