Throughout his childhood, JW Sam has led a multi-faceted lifestyle across multiple cities, which in turn has influenced his career in various industries. Whether it is improving the lives of Kuchingites through innovative property projects under the RH Group or delivering creative solutions to brands through his eponymous consultancy firm House of JW, Sam counts himself as fortunate to be able to leverage on his global upbringing before returning to Borneo, a place he fondly calls home. “Through challenging of stereotypes from both ends and sharing new perspectives on preconceived ideas, being able to share these perspectives from the view of the respective sides, allow for barriers to drop and stronger bonds to develop between both sides.”

Constantly maintaining an open mind to understanding, adapting and learning to new situations, issues and ideas are part of the work philosophy he embodies. By adopting a comprehensive understanding on how different developments have the power to impact the lives of the surrounding community, Sam is also involved in a technology system known as SOCOE. The system enables mobile apps to sit on it by providing more effective connectivity and counteracting digital disparity. “The vision of smart cities and integrated homes can be realised through this technology system. That would drastically improve the quality of life and safety of the people, as well as transform the way people live, work and learn.”
