After 21 months in the making, the newly opened iwc schaffhausen Manufacture will produce movement components, in-house movements and cases under one roof. Spanning nearly 13,500sqm, it also welcomes visitors interested in taking a behind-the-scenes look at watchmaking. “We wanted more than a functional factory. It is also very important to us to provide visitors with a unique experience,” says CEO Christoph Grainger-Herr, who personally helped with its design.
