With 11 years of experience under his belt, kim mun has a keen eye for fashion photography and is highly sought after in the fashion industry. The graphic design graduate believes in going back to basics when it comes to photography, as this brings out the most natural emotions in his subjects translated through his work. He has shot for many local and international magazines as well as print commercials for Malaysia, China and Vietnam. He shot this month’s cover story together with the annual 40 Under 40 feature spread.
ANDREA WONG has been in the fashion industry for the past 13 years. Previously the Fashion Editor of Harper’s Bazaar Malaysia and the Editor-in-Chief of ELLE Malaysia, she now makes her own way as a freelance fashion stylist, where her projects vary from giving styling talks for international luxury brands to being the fashion consultant on the movie Crazy Rich Asians and styling covers and fashion spreads for magazines. She conceptualized and styled this month’s papparazi-esque cover shoot featuring Datin Meera Sen.
An expert in maquillage, joey yap has been contributing consistently for us and our sister magazine August-Man-Malaysia, including fashion spreads and our Men of the Year specials. Her portfolio also encompasses weddings, events and artists such as MTV VJs, rock bands Neon Trees and 30 Seconds to Mars. This month, she worked on both Datin Meera Sen and the 40 Under 40 feature spread.
With creative direction that is influenced by relaxed style and carefree attitude to sophisticated and polished elegance, BiBian Leong’s talent and versatility has garnered the attention of the film, fashion, television, and bridal industries. She has earned accolades within the hairstyling community for her work featured in Malaysia’s top-selling Fashion and Beauty magazines. This month, she worked her magic on Datin Meera Sen for the cover spread.
Derren Fong, a senior hairstylist at the renowned Shawn Cutler. boasts 9 years of hair related experience with the opportunity to serve the who’s who both in the corporate and celebrity line. He is inspired to be one of the world class hairstylists by showcasing his hairdo someday. He lends his skill for 40 Under 40 this issue.
MAVIS ANG has proven herself as a visionary artist with clients and hairdressers alike. Mavis is imaginative and always defines individual style. Mavis has participated in the Various renowned Fashion Artist earning her spot as a Lead Stylist in Shawn Cutler Group of Salons. Mavis is known for her precision haircuts, creative in color, as all forms of hair extensions/bonds and avant-garde styles. mavis is an truely amazing talent who continues to raise the bar in and out of the salon. Her career and credentials are the very reason as to why she is a true artist. Together with Derren, she worked her gift of hairstyling on the personalities featured on 40 Under 40.
