Bell & Ross elevates its involvement in diving instruments

When Bell & Ross first presented its first square diving watch in 2017, the watchmaker established that it was able to produce professional underwater instruments. The BR03-92 Diver which followed on from the water-resistant to 11,100 meters Hydromax, first designed in 1997 and the BR02 range, launched in 2007.

The BR03-92 Diver caught the attention of the diving world and served as a starting point of an entire collection, which now includes two new versions – the BR03-92 Diver Blue and the BR0392 Diver Bronze. It comes as no surprise that Bell & Ross would venture into diving instruments given the fact that it has always adhered to the strictest requirements. Each Bell & Ross watch is designed in accordance to its own and sometimes extreme environment.

This year Bell & Ross released the BR03-92 Diver Blue and BR03-92 Diver Bronze which were developed to be measurement tools perfectly capable of contending with the depth of the ocean. Legible, accurate and reliable, they are efficient companions to divers under any conditions and meet the specific requirements of underwater use, in addition to their Bell & Ross design.

Symbolising the sea, blue is the colour of this new version of the BR03-92 Diver. Beyond its blue dial, rubber strap and aluminum insert on the bezel, this BR03-92 Diver Blue version aims to achieve maximum legibility with indices coated in White SuperLuminova and a yellow hour hand. Underwater, the colors vanish one after the other due to the loss of light intensity. The yellow hour hand will therefore fade away to give precedence to the minute hand, which must be visible to ensure the diver’s safety.

This new color combination, paired with the emblematic square shape of the BR collections, gives the BR03-92 Diver Blue a sporty yet attractive aesthetic.

The second new addition to the BR03-92 Diver collection evokes the historical roots of underwater exploration. Its case and bezel are made from bronze, a material used in the past for diving helmets. Although inalterable, bronze can also form a patina with time depending on its environment, gaining a unique shade over the years.

This allusion to the origins of underwater adventures can be seen on the case-back thanks to an engraving of a diver. The aged leather strap confirms the watch’s authentic vintage spirit, but can be replaced with a rubber strap for use while diving. Boasting exceptional technical and aesthetic qualities, this model is issued as a limited edition of 999 pieces.
