HEY SUGAR!
It has become a tradition for us over here at Prestige to host an exciting theme for our annual
Prestige KL Ball and this year was no different. Sugar and spice became the focal attraction, as the main ballroom of The
Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur was transformed into an enchanted candy land that would send our distinguished guests home in high spirits. A multitude of bright flowy fabric cascaded down the table centrepieces, giving an illusion of mythical magic to set the mood for the night. Our very own candy shop decked out with an array of candy in all shapes and sizes brought out the inner child in our guests, as cameras clicked away while some indulged in a little well-deserved sweet treat pre-dinner. Amidst the champagne glasses and chatter, there were those who braved the long queue at the YSL Beauté and HP photo booths, while the rest of the guests took the opportunity to admire the perfectly cut diamonds at the Habib Jewels showcase. ICYMI, more photos over at #PrestigeKLBall.
Many came dressed to the nines in their very own interpretation of sugar and spice, showcasing their sweet and edgy side with a healthy dose of pink and black. The arrival of our guest of honour, DYTM Raja Muda Selangor Tengku Amir Shah Ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah marked the start of the festivities followed by a captivating dance performance. Steven Chan, Publisher and Managing Director of the print publishing unit of Burda Malaysia, delivered the opening speech and thanked our guests for their steadfast support through the years. There was plenty of cheer across the ballroom when the announcement of the recipient for the coveted Prestige Achievement Award and BestDressed Awards was made. The after-party kicked off with upbeat music from YM Tunku Nadia Naquiyuddin, one half of DJ duo Twinkies and all guests took home exclusive items from Lord’s 1974 and YSL Beauté.
