A LEAGUE OF ITS OWN

The Cartier Privé collection highlights the maison’s iconic watch designs, and since 2015, has released limited and numbered pieces such as the Crash watch, Tank Cintrée and the Tonneau. Its latest remake is that of the Tank Asymétrique from 1936, where everything on the dial was shifted 30 degrees to the right, and the original rectangular Tank became a diamond. The torsion effect was such that even a specific strap had to be developed for the watch.

Cartier watchmakers have included the Manufacture 1917 MC manual winding movement in the new model and reworked the Arabic numerals and indexes. The dashing 47.15mm by 26.2mm model is available in pink gold with a grey dial and strap, in yellow gold with a champagne dial and brown strap, and in platinum with a silver dial, ruby cabochon and grey strap. Each reference comes in a limited edition of 100 numbered pieces.
