VIRTUAL TOUR: NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM
London’s Natural History Museum offers nine ways to explore from home with a series of virtual self-guided tours of the galleries.
Let an audio guide narrated by Sir David Attenborough take you on a tour of Hintze Hall’s star specimens. Meanwhile, Google Arts & Culture offers access to 300,000 specimens within the Museum’s curation alongside 14 digital exhibitions, virtual tours and an interactive gigapixel photo allowing for visitors to zoom in and scrutinize the smallest details of Hintze Hall’s gilded canopy. The museum’s official portal also offers a selection of activities for children to try at home, from folding an origami Tyrannosaurus Rex to creating a simple working volcano.
