Given that fashion folks have their eyes on his inaugural year rebooting Givenchy, Matthew M. Williams made sure that his first sneakers for the storied house nail both luxury and performance. For the upper, the creative director incorporated sophisticated materials, such as rubber-like thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) that is flexible, durable and smooth to the touch. Lightweight soles are fully transparent, sporting a green-gold sheen. Branding the side of the GIV 1 sneakers, the signature 4G emblem is also found on the soles, recreated in relief with 108 injection spots. Among the trio of aerodynamic styles for these unisex sneakers is an edgy all-black pair in crocodile-embossed leather.
