TECHNOLOGICAL FOREFRONT
Complex, impenetrable and innovative, the RM 21-01 Tourbillon Aerodyne represents the future direction Richard Mille intends to chart.
The latest element takes the form of Haynes
214. Orchestrated from a profusion of nickel, chromium, aluminium and iron, this heat-resistant alloy thrives in oppressive thermal environments exceeding 955°C. Blue PVD treated, the Haynes 214 orthorhombic honeycomb structure is part of the baseplate of the watch made of Carbon
TPT to offer unparalleled stiffness, low thermal expansion coefficient and exceptional torque resistance. The robust 5N red gold case, reinforced with a Carbon TPT exoskeleton, provides optimal protection for the open-worked tourbillon movement. Deliberately constructed from a mix of grade 5 titanium and 5N red gold, the manualwound calibre RM21-01 is optimised for a range of functions including power reserve and torque indications and function selection. Issued in a limited edition of 50 pieces, once again Richard Mille’s obsession with materials science inexorably advances the frontier of watchmaking.
