SPILLING CRIMSON
Since debuting in black and subsequently released in green and blue, the Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Diver is finally made available in scarlet. Christened the Red Bronze, which is self-explanatory, the singular shape of this dive watch remains relatively explored in the realm of horology but is nevertheless a crucial design element to Bell & Ross’ circle-in-a-square fundamentals. Containing 92% copper and 8% tin, the 42mm satin-polished CuSn8 bronze case is built on the premise of ageing with regular wear, developing patination in the years to come. All parts of the case are made of bronze, except for the anodised red aluminium ring for the bronze unidirectional bezel and steel caseback. Featuring gilded applique indices and hands, the red-lacquered dial is the raison d’etre for this ISO 6425-standard dive watch. Capped at 999 pieces, it is delivered with a distressed matte brown leather strap. If you intend to dive with it, however, you might want to settle for a rubber strap instead.
