You know you’ve made it as a top model when one of the top fashion houses in the world uses your face for its latest collection. Fairly new French model Lola Nicon, who especially rose to dizzying heights of fame thanks to being Chanel’s new face, is the perfect choice for the new Chanel Cruise 2021/22 collection. Described as a very clean collection with distinct two-tone that’s made up of bright white and deep black, the collection, says Chanel’s creative director Virginie Viard, is inspired by Jean Cocteau’s film, Testament of Orpheus.

The stark contrast between the radiant whiteness of the long shirt-dress bearing Nicon’s face and black fringe leather skirt echoes the edginess of punk rock of the ‘60s. Maintaining Chanel’s classic minimalism, the collection also features some bold looks bearing black macramé capes, white tweed jackets embroidered with lucky charms, and a black dress in velvet and leather.
