VOLVO CAR MALAYSIA PROUDLY INTRODUCES THE VOLVO S90 RECHARGE T8 SEDAN. An update on the spacious Volvo S90 model equips new exterior and interior finishes, delivering the latest leading safety and technology features. The perfect family car for a post-pandemic road trip, the Volvo S90 Recharge T8 empowers drivers to be the difference when it comes to safety, luxury, and sustainability.
A model built on the innovative Scalable Product Architecture ( SPA) platform, this premium 4-door flagship sedan is powered by Volvo’s Drive-E power train. The luxury plug-in hybrid employs aT 8 Twin Engine and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery capable of producing 407 horsepower and 640Nm of torque. With a combination of the four-cylinder engine and an impressive electric motor, the S90 Recharge T8 provides a powerful, performance-filled drive while producing lower CO2 emissions.
In terms of design, the S90 Recharge T8 is a masterpiece of minimalist design accentuated by signature Volvo aesthetics. These include the “Thor Hammer” LED headlight design, vertical chrome grille with the Volvo Iron Mark, and bold use of the Volvo spread mark on the rear. Meanwhile, the inclusion of a sunroof invites a sense of joie de vivre. Customers will have the option of choosing from among five sleek colours, including Bright Silver, Crystal White Pearl, Onyx Black, Platinum Grey and Thunder Grey.
Enhancing the journey, the Sensus panel on the Volvo S90 Recharge T8 keeps the driver connected with intuitive technology and personalized convenience. Two front USB outlets allow for Apple Carplay or Android Auto for varied compatibility. Meanwhile, the user-friendly 9-inch portrait touch screen offers quick access to a full menu of safety features and in-car entertainment applications for an immersive media experience.
A standout feature of the S90 Recharge T8 is the upgraded sound system. Using Bowers & Wilkins’ exclusive Nautilus speaker technology, a total of 19 speakers with an output of 1400W guarantees a high-end auditory adventure. New double-dome aluminium tweeters and new generation mid-range speaker cones in Continuum composite result in a more refined and natural sound production.
The sound system also features different room modes, such as the Concert Hall Mode modelled after the acoustics of the Gothenburg Concert Hall and Jazz Mode, instantly transporting the listener to another space from the comfort of their vehicle.
In terms of safety, the S90 Recharge T8’s body structure uses boron steel for added body strength alongside the Volvo Intellisafe system. The system guides the latest safety technology such as the Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) and City Safety which includes Collision Avoidance & Mitigation with Intersection Support Pedestrian alongside Cyclist & Large Animal Detection. Other features include the Lane Keeping Aid and Pilot Assist which eases the burden of driving on highways and other major roads.
