DIGITAL EXHIBITION: I AM HOME

I Am Home is an online exhibition featuring multicultural narratives of homemaking in Penang. The intention is to highlight meaningful experiences that promote the true spirit of being a Malaysian.

The project has been thoughtfully curated by researcher Dr Kuah Li Feng, alongside two artists,

Azmi Hussin and Lefty Julian. The trio document people’s histories post-World War II, focusing on the experience of the disadvantaged working class. Based on interviews with senior members from different cultures and localities throughout Penang, the experienced artists have captured the essence of scenes and experiences from a lost age. The multicultural project has support from the Cultural Economy Development Agency (CENDANA) and the Penang State EXCO Office for Tourism and Creative Economy.
