Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2022 Haute Couture show witnessed the latest incarnation of the house’s icons like the bouclé and camellia translated into traditional sartorial codes. From 1920s drop waist dresses and two-tone Mary Janes, as well as reinterpreted looks from the ‘80s, we saw flounces, fringe, macramé, bright lace, iridescent tweeds, and colourful jeweled buttons commanding the runway in timeless ensembles that span across iconic moments in Chanel’s fashion history.
