Having made banking her world for more than three decades now, Lee Jim Leng, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hong Leong Investment Bank, is a woman on top who makes banking look cool and stylish.

She first dabbled in commercial banking at Ban Hin Lee Bank Berhad i n 1989, before moving to corporate finance. In 1993, she j oined Schroders Malaysia and fell in love with the fast-paced world of investment banking.

As a leader, Jim Leng’s is known for her abilit y t o adapt fast t o any situation and her transformational l eadership st yle. This proac tive mindset has also contributed greatly to her success. One of her milestones was ushering a new era of capital repayment and working with the Securities Commission Malaysia on the first private debt securities during her time at UOB.
