EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL MALAYSIA
Katrina Jorene Maliamauv is, as of August 2020, the Executive Director at Amnesty International Malaysia. An avid human rights activist and educator, her work focuses on refugees and migrants’ rights. She is also a writer on the topic, sharing her insight and observations on the matter gained from her extensive work with the local refugees and migrants. Before ascending to her role at AI Malaysia, she was a programme officer at Tenaganita, where she worked to uphold and defend the rights of migrants, refugees and other marginalised communities, and advocated for and intervened on labour rights, arrest and detention, gender-based violence, and an intersectionality of issues and rights.
