Ng Wei Wei has been appointed the f irst fema le chief executive off icer (CEO) of UOB Malaysia, and w ill begin her new role on May 1, 2022 . She has over 20 years of experience in Wholesale Bank ing, hav ing prev iously worked in various leadership roles at g loba l f inancia l institutions in Malaysia and Hong Kong. She returned to UOB Malaysia in 2019 as the manag ing director and countr y head of wholesale bank ing and was promoted to deputy CEO in 2021. She plays an instrumental role in g row ing UOB Malaysia’s wholesale bank ing franchise and advancing the bank ’s priorities includ ing its env ironment , social and governance, and innovation agenda.
