PATEK PHILIPPE
Of the 12 new models unveiled by Patek Philippe, the Ref. 5326G-001 Annual Calendar Travel Time impresses as the first watch from the Manufacture to combine its patented Annual Calendar, which requires a manual correction only once a year, and the Travel Time system for the display of a second time zone. The amalgamation of the two iconic complications, manifested as the self-winding 31-260 PS QA LU FUS 24H calibre, results in a travel watch with a date display that is synchronised with the respective local time. Home time is indicated by the skeleton hour hand, while local time is indicated by the solid hour hand. Day/night indication for home time is found on the right side of the dial, placed opposite the day/night indication for local time. A small seconds subdial is placed at 6 o’clock, also where the date window and moon phase indicator are found, while the day and month windows are located at 12 o’clock. Aesthetic-wise, the textured charcoal grey dial with black-gradient rim recalls the look of a vintage camera. The 41 mm Calatrava case in white gold is guilloched with a hobnail pattern or ClousdeParis and delivered with two calfskin straps: beige with nubuck finish and black embossed with fabric pattern and contrasting beige stitching.
