Beachside sportwear silhouettes evoke playful glamour inspired by the cosmopolitan beach lifestyle of Monte-Carlo and CHANEL’s history along the Côte d’Azur

Making its grand return to the French Riviera, at the iconic Monte-Carlo Beach Hotel to be specific, the Chanel 2022/2023 Cruise Show was everything we expected and more. Taking inspiration from the location’s biggest event of the season, Formula 1, we saw various jumpsuits in sequin and silk, as well as checkerboard patterns in tweed. Some of the fun accessories that caught our eye were surely the Chanel-branded baseball cap and helmet, which we expect would fly off the rack once they are made available in Asia. We also witnessed tennis racquets, beach balls, and even an ice box on the runway reimagined as playful bags that are must-haves this summer for the ultimate Chanel ‘cosmopolitan beach chic’ girl look.
