PROJEK 555: SMALL OBSERVATIONS OF AN ON-GOING PANDEMIC

In collaboration with Malaysia Design Archive and book reproduction support from Ana Tomy, Ilham Gallery presents “Projek 555”. This unique effort presents a collection of everyday observations and reflections through a mini visual diary. The showcase came together as the Malaysia Design Archive issued an open invitation to the public to participate. Volunteers would receive a 555 notebook by mail to document their thoughts in any way they desired. The concept was to create a space for reflection, to pause and connect through distance. Although diaries are often private objects, this exhibition invites viewers to step into this intimate shared space and collective memory-making.
