Hublot Big Bang Depeche Mode The Singles Limited Edition

Depeche Mode are one of the undisputed titans of electronic music. Over their 37-year career, they have sold over 100 million records worldwide and have released 55 singles. This year, the Swiss watchmaker Hublot has once again partnered with the British band to release a limitededi­tion tribute timepiece. The Hublot Big Bang Depeche Mode The Singles Limited Edition ( RM133,700) consists of 55 Big Bang flyback chronograp­hs in black ceramic. Each timepieces features a unique artwork from the single it represents, seamlessly worked into the skeleton dial and printed on the caseback. To top it all off, proceeds from the sale of these watches will go to Charity: Water, which is dedicated to bringing safe drinking water to people in developing nations. www.hublot.com ≠

EChinese bronze tapir-form vessel Auctioned by Christie’s in New York for US$ 100,000 ( RM392,000).

xpertly inlaid with gold and silver, this ritual wine vessel (also known as a ‘zun’) soared past its initial estimate of US$40,000 at Christie’s JF Chen Collection auction. The tapir-shaped vessel – which stands with its mouth slightly open, below a curled snout – dates back to the 17th or 18th century. The tapir’s pointed ears are flared with a fanshaped gold inlay, while its body and face are decorated with foliate and scrollwork.
