TO BEING #SHAPEPROUD AND MORE

Shape (Malaysia) - - Contents - Jessica Lim, Penang

I came from a hard place, battled an eating disorder, and a twisted mindset about food and my body, to where I am now. Today, I can say that I am happy, and content with my body. In other words, I’m shape proud. But there is still this need to want to change - physically. So, does this mean that I am not body-confident yet? It had been playing in my head for some time until I read the article ‘#shapeproud but still wanting a change?’ on shape.com.my. Thanks for helping me to understand this part of the body positivity movement, SHAPE. I’m now reminded yet again why I began this journey, and that it’s okay to still want a change as we’re all work-in-progress!
